A bio:
Giovanni Ciceri received his master’s degree in chemistry in 1980 and covered the position of Project Leader in National and EU research Projects dealing with biomass and waste. He has been Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development and Energy Sources Department at RSE – Research on Energy System, a Research Company based in Milan, Italy, belonging to the GSE Group. He is Convenor of ISO/TC 300 “Solid recovered materials including solid recovered fuels” WG 5 “Chemical tests and determination of biomass content”
IEA expectations:
My expectation in the triennium 2022-2024 of participation to IEA Bioenergy Task 36 concerns the application of the circular economy to the waste management, including the role of EfW. In particular, the interest is in searching alternatives to recycling plastics, food waste and sewage sludge, in terms of materials or after chemical treatments to obtain secondary row materials.
