A bio:
Michaël Becidan (born 1978 in Paris, France). MSc from ENSCP (Chimie ParisTech, 2001), Paris, France. PhD on energy production from biomass and waste (2007), NTNU, Trondheim, Norway. Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF Energy Research since 2006. Has worked on various aspects of heat and power production from biomass, biomass residues as well as MSW and other waste fractions. His focus has expanded from WtE and ash chemistry to circular economy, carbon capture and storage and material recycling these last few years. Has been involved in a variety of national and European projects in various capacities. Is participating to several national and international networks (AvfallNorge, IEA Bioenergy Task 36, PREWIN EU Network, EERA Bioenergy).
IEA expectations:
Norway expects to be at the forefront of waste management technological development; exchange with leading experts from all over the world; discuss policy and framework conditions as well as technical development and innovation; identify future trends of relevance to the waste treatment sector in Norway; share experience, knowledge and challenges from and to the Norwegian waste management sector.
